I suppose I should update... [grumbles]
Well yeah. Here's the update.
umm...
My brain's dead from too many days of not having a sleep in. Nah, I lie, I'm pretty okay, I just wish I had had another week of holidays. Let's all have a cry for Luke.
Now that the torrent of tears has stopped, I really can't think of much to tell you, so I'll start with the requests made by people. Anonymous people. Evil people.
MYC was approximately 5 days and nights spent up at Currimundi Recreation Centre a couple of weeks ago. Besides the usual camp things such as bonfires, campfires and other small insignificant fires, we had things like food, fellowship and fun. Worship was included in the admission price, as well as sermons, testimonies, powerful challengings from God and, oh, you know, the occasional life-changing experience.
Personally?
I guess it was 5 days where interesting things happened, I met some new people, renewed friendships with other people, disturbed people's sleep with my snoring (hey, I had a blocked nose) and gained a heap of weight from the wonderful food.
Two things:
It's amazing how the same people criticizing my snoring (read criticizing: laughing about) were the ones who snored the loudest on the first night, prompting my purchase of earplugs for all subsequent nights.
It's also interesting how only uni students who have moved out of home but can't look after themselves entirely properly yet fully appreciate the food on camps. Having someone prepare your meals is perhaps as wonderful and moving as for the disciples when Jesus washed their feet. The fact that one of our chefs could speak like 4 or 5 languages and was funny was just a bonus.
Okay. MYC enough from me. Say that like a rapper... "enough from me/bout MYC"
Had an interesting bit of news reach me last night, I guess it got me down a bit. Just about another Christian who had messed up hugely, and had affected alot of people's lives. Thoughts that jumped through my head were:
What will people think of Christianity?
What does this mean for me - this is something that I'm capable of doing... can I trust myself?
Hmm... That's about all that went through my head. They kind of circled round like vultures for a while. It's disconcerting when thoughts do that, you'll be trying to read a book or something and then one of those thoughts will jump to the forefront of your mind vying for attention.
I don't even know if I spelt 'vying' right. You get the picture tho.
Anyway the last month has contained huge ups and downs, stuffups and victories, good things, bad things and a few laughs mixed in. Sorry I haven't updated in a while, but if I do it again, just take that as a sign I need attention and then msg me to invite me out to a movie or something :)

sounds like a great idea...why don't all three of us go?

I'm not going.
why not? movies with evil anonymous people are fun, you never know who they're gonna be.
that sounds like a line from a movie i know, something about life being like a box of chocolates and never knowing what you'll get.....when you think about it that's not true. they give you those cards in the box now that tells you what chocolate is where and what it looks like. i think it ruined the mystery of the chocolate *sigh*
fine then, have it YOUR way...i'm not going either... :(
